CREAMY ARTICHOKE DIP & A TWIST

December 8, 2014 by Carisa

A creamy artichoke dip baked into a bread bowl from Messes to MemoriesI apologize for bombarding you with so much delicious party food lately… I hope you don’t mind! I’m coming at you with another delicious party treat. This time we’re going with a savory creamy artichoke dip that has a fun little twist!

It’s baked into a bread bowl!

The dip on its own is absolutely divine. We’ve served it in a bowl with chips before and our guests have loved it.

But I love dips that look so pretty and festive, so I decided to try baking this dip into a bread bowl and the results were amazing.

The dip was hot, creamy, flavorful and perfect for dipping.

And the amazing part was eating the crusty bread bowl, infused with flavor from the dip! I probably could have eaten the whole thing by myself.

But I chose to show a little self-control! Phew!

The perfect party dish is a creamy artichoke dip baked into a bread bowl... Simple and fancy and delicious!
Serves: 15
Ingredients
  • 1 and ½ 8 oz package cream cheese
  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • ¾ cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 12 oz jar artichokes chopped
  • 2 tsp garlic
  • 1 tsp seasoning salt
  • 1 medium sourdough bread loaf
Instructions
  1. Soften the cream cheese and mix it well with the mayonnaise and parmesan cheese.
  2. Combine with artichokes, garlic and seasoning salt.
  3. Cut a round hole in the top of your bread bowl and pull out some of the filling (not too much, because you still want to have a good wall to hold your dip).
  4. Fill in the hole with the dip all the way up to the top.
  5. Place the bread bowl in the oven and bake at 350 for approximately 20 minutes, or until heated through and bubbly on top (should be lightly browned as well).
