HOMEMADE FUDGE RIPPLE ICE CREAM

August 15, 2014 by Carisa

Today I am sharing the Homemade Fudge Ripple Ice Cream from my Ice Cream Party Date Night! If you haven’t already checked out that post, you should, my husband and I had a blast creating this Ice Cream and there are some fun FREE printables that I made just for YOU!

MMMmmm. This ice cream is definitely something you’re gonna want to try! Believe me. It’s perfectly creamy. It’s full of chocolatey goodness. It’s the best pick-me-up treat for anyone who has had a rough day! It’s also the perfect treat for anyone who is wanting to celebrate a great day!

For me, the kitchen has always been a happy place. A place where I want to be with my family, creating something delicious that everyone will love. I love to please people. So when I saw a recipe for homemade ice cream that didn’t require an ice cream maker, I decided to give it a try.

I wanted to start with something simple. Something chocolatey, rich and comforting. Homemade Fudge!

You can bet that after this successful attempt, I will definitely be trying some new flavors out at home. The sky is the limit! My husband and I are going to have an Ice Cream Party date in the very near future to experiment and try out some different flavors.

I bet you want me to just get to this amazingly simple recipe now…

Homemade Fudge Ripple Ice Cream

Ingredients

2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk
Fudge

For the Fudge:
2 cups Marshmallows
3/4 cup Evaporated Milk
2 cups sugar
2 cups Chocolate Chips (unsweetened, milk or a combination of the two)
1 cube Butter

Instructions

1. Whip the heavy whipping cream until it starts to form soft peaks. Tips to make sure your whipped cream turns out perfect–make sure your whipped cream is cold and don’t over whip it.
2. Add the sweetened condensed milk and whip until stiff peaks form, but make sure you don’t over whip!
3. Place the ice cream base into a casserole dish in the freezer.
4. Pull out a saucepan and place the evaporated milk, sugar and marshmallows in. Stir until melted and the mixture reaches 240.
5. Place the chocolate chips and butter in a mixture. Pour the milky marshmallowy mixture over the top and mix it all up until its well blended and just barely starting to lose its sheen!
6. Set the fudge mixture aside and let it cool.
7. After about an hour pull the ice cream out and spoon some dollops of fudge on top. Mix it all in. You can mix in as much or as little as you want. Depending on how fudge-y you want it! Decorate the top with some more fudge!!!!
8. Place it in the freezer for another 3-4 hours.

After it’s all set up, pull it out and enjoy!!! 🙂
