FIT MAMA ROBYN

I feel honored Carisa asked me to be included in her Fit Mama series! I am a mom of two boys with a baby girl on the way. Our first son, Collin, was born premature and passed away 3 days after he was born. Ethan is an active, energetic, and sweet 2 ½ year old who constantly keeps me on my toes. Our baby girl is coming in November and we are so excited! Chris, my husband, works for Sorenson Capital, a private equity firm in Lehi, Utah.

CLASSIC LASAGNA

Lasagna is my ultimate comfort food. I would always ask for it for my birthday dinner. Unless we were going out to eat, of course. I loved it when my mom made it because that meant I got a delicious meal without doing any work.

CAESAR GREEN BEAN SALAD

I love green beans! My family always planted a huge garden and one of my favorite things fresh from the garden is green beans. In fact, summer time is really the only time we had green beans growing up, we weren't really big on frozen green beans. I don't think I even knew canned green beans existed. When I married Scott, he introduced me to his family's Caesar Green Bean Salad and it immediately became one of my favorite sides.

3 AMAZING SIDEWALK-CHALK IDEAS

I'm so excited to be participating in the Kids Summer Craft Camp put on by Sowdering About in Seattle. We sure have had a lot of fun crafting this summer. Today I'm excited to share some things that we've done with plain, old, ordinary sidewalk chalk!

Chalk is such a fun medium for kids to be able to use. Chalk allows kids to be creative and to have a little freedom. Inside, you generally hear "Don't color on the walls, fridge, chairs, etc." Outside, with chalk, you can color all over the sidewalk, driveway... there are endless possibilities and its hard to run out of space to express yourself.

ICE CREAM PARTY DATE NIGHT

My husband and I love two things... We love to party and we love to eat sweets. Ice cream is one of our favorite comfort foods! It definitely helps us feel happy and excited about life even after we break (badly bruise) our tailbone... and by we, I mean "I" because Scott didn't fall down the stairs...

I LOVE YOU plus a FREE printable

When Scott and I first got married we would always play this little game. One of us would say, "I love you!" Then the other would counter, "I love you more!" Then... "I love you most!"

FIT MAMA SHARLENE

Hi! This is Carisa’s cousin, Sharlene. I am a mother of 3 rambunctious boys. In the last year I have learned so much and have become very passionate about fitness and nutrition. I have reaped wonderful results from living a healthy, active life. I made the decision and commitment to consistently exercise throughout the rest of my life! I hope to inspire at least one person to do the same.  Allow me to share a little how I reached this point.

GENERAL TAO'S CHICKEN--A LIGHTER VERSION

I love to travel and love all kinds of foods from different cultures. Both my husband and my brother have spent some time among the Chinese and have a great love and passion for Asian inspired foods. This last Christmas, we were traveling to visit family and we decided to do a double date with my brother. Scott and I rarely eat out. So when we do eat out, we like to order something that we'll both like and we share.

CARDBOARD BOX CARS for the DRIVE-IN MOVIES

I have always wanted to go to a drive-in movie. Unfortunately, I've never really had the chance... for some reason they seem to have lost their popularity! This activity makes me want to go to a drive-in movie even more!!! I guess I'll have to add it to my bucket list.

CHOCOLATE CARAMEL CAKE DOUGHNUTS

Have you ever made a homemade doughnut???

Growing up, my family had a tradition to make doughnuts twice a year for a very special occasion. I always looked forward to this event because all the men would go out for the night and all the women and kids would get together in the kitchen and make doughnuts. We made these light and fluffy doughnuts comparable to Krispy Kreme... Except homemade!!
